Female Axolotls<\/a> remain pregnant for about two weeks and lays about 200 to 600 eggs on plants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The egg development takes about two weeks and the tadpole like Axolotl remain attached to the leaves of the plant for another two weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So how do Axolotl gets pregnant?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Axolotl will be able to conceive and get pregnant within 12 months. The males normally releases spermatophore into the water and the female moves forward until her cloaca<\/a> is above the spermatophore which will fertilize the eggs inside her this normally takes about an hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Egg laying normally takes place after about 12 and 72 hours later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Axolotls scientific name is ( Ambystoma Mexicanum<\/a> ) they are actually the larval form of salamander that never goes through a metamorphosis to a salamander that can walk on land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They remain larval form and remain aquatic amphibians<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
