How Many People Can Betta Fish Recognize?

How many people can you name that know betta fish can recognize people? Betta Fish can surely remember and recognize their owners.

I remember ever having a better recognize a human being when I put them in the tank next to me, they just stared at me interestingly for a few seconds before eventually pointing at something on the bottom of the tank.

Then they would go back to staring at me.

Pretty much, they do this with all humans as well, although it might not be quite as accurate for some people.

You may have other stories about how your Betta will recognize people though, or just know someone who did.

I only know one other Betta that does and he is only about three and a half inches long.

Since Betta fish are pretty fast swimmers, they can get away with it, but I still don’t know what he was thinking.

Then again, I have had Betta fish that will recognize people that I have placed in the tank next to me, they just wouldn’t come up to me to try and get too close.

If you ever have a Betta that will do this, then you are truly an exceptional pet owner.

The best thing you can do is watch out for your fish, especially if it is a male.

Male Betta fish are known for showing their dominance more than female Betta fish, so you better be aware of that if you want to keep your mail safe from other males in the tank.

Male Betta fish don’t usually try to attack each other unless they are already male, which is why you need to know how they will react when you put a female in the tank next to him.
